JAMIE BENNETT, CHAIRMAN & CEO
Jamie founded the company in 2010 after recognising a need in the oil & gas industry to improve efficiency through better understanding of critical equipment performance.
An engineering graduate, Jamie has built and grown two international technology companies which were sold to private equity firms.
With a particular interest in commercialising new innovations, Jamie is passionate about pursuing opportunities that have the potential to change the rules of a marketplace.
CHRIS AYRES, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Chris is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 15 years' experience in the oil and gas industry developing successful service delivery functions in multiple organisations.
He has a diverse background of leadership experience in management consulting and project service delivery with a track record of delivering projects with proven business value.
As COO, Chris is responsible for ensuring that our project teams continue to deliver tangible benefits for our customers.
SARAH CHRISTIE, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Sarah has been with OPEX since start-up and is responsible for the integrity of all financial accounting and statutory compliance for the company. In addition to this she provides a range of business support functions across all areas.
Throughout her career, Sarah has focused on managing the entire financial spectrum for the businesses in which she has worked and has been heavily involved in the due diligence and exit process for a number of multimillion pound transactions.
ALI GREEN, VP STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENT
A chartered engineer and a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ali has experience at board/executive level spanning the breadth of the international upstream oil & gas industry.
Ali has extensive experience of growing and developing businesses internationally and played a key role in the creation of PSN, a major global engineering service contractor, which was acquired by one of their main competitors, Wood Group.
GERRY WARD, VICE PRESIDENT
With the exception of his training in Mining Engineering, Gerry has spent his entire career in the oil & gas sector with over 40 years of related experience, culminating in his role as Managing Director of Wood Group North Sea.
Recognising all of the elements of production efficiency and the opportunities to make significant performance improvements, Gerry is determined to create the platform where OPEX are recognised for their role in transforming the sector's performance.
EUAN MACALISTER, VP BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Euan has an MSc in Business IT Systems and has extensive experience of helping to grow businesses both locally and internationally, having spent over 15 years working in the oil and gas sector for a number of technology companies and latterly with a Tier 1 engineering firm.
As VP of Business Development, Euan is focused on ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our existing customers whilst growing our customer portfolio in the UKCS and globally.
DANNY FARQUHAR, VP DATA SCIENCE
Danny has a degree in Applied Physics, a Masters degree in Information Systems and has a 15 year track record in the oil and gas industry.
Throughout his career, Danny has gained substantial experience and understanding of data modelling and analysis and its application on topside critical plant in order to improve availability and reliability. From requirements gathering, software application side through to technical solution delivery.
EUAN BATHGATE, VP ENGINEERING SUPPORT
Euan is a chartered engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Edinburgh University. Euan has worked on projects throughout Europe with a rotating equipment manufacturer, and more recently has held a number of key technical positions with oil & gas operators including that of Technical Authority.
Euan is responsible for ensuring that the X-PAS™ Service is supported by the highest standards of engineering expertise. He also acts as the Rotating Equipment Technical Authority.
JILL TOUGH, VP MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
Jill has over 15 years' experience of developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies for multi-national organisations across a range of sectors. In her role as VP of Marketing and Communications, Jill is responsible for managing all internal and external communication channels in support of OPEX's ambitious growth plans.
Jill has a first class degree in Business Management, and has spent several years working as a consultant for a number of leading oil and gas organisations.
COLIN SHEARER, PRINCIPAL ADVISOR - PREDICTIVE SOLUTIONS
Colin has been a pioneer and thought leader in AI and predictive analytics for over 25 years. His experience ranges from successful start-ups and the creation of market-leading tools and technology, to worldwide executive roles with the largest vendors.
In his role with OPEX, Colin’s input helps ensure that the X-PAS™ service continues to innovate and lead by leveraging the most powerful and relevant AI and analytics technologies, and delivers maximum value to our customers.
DAVE RUSSELL, PRINCIPAL ADVISOR - TECHNICAL
Dave is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers with over 30 years’ experience in Oil and Gas and Petrochemical Industries.
Dave has considerable experience in the field of process engineering and oil and gas operations and is passionate about the application of class-leading technology in driving performance improvement. Dave provides senior operations support and technical advisory to the OPEX team as the company continues to grow.
JORGE MAURICIO, TECHNICAL AUTHORITY
Jorge is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and holds a Masters in Business Management and a Masters in Vibration Analysis. He is accredited to Category IV international certification (the highest accreditation available) from the Mobius Institute and has over 16 years' industry experience in the field with the last 5 years in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Jorge is a subject matter expert in reliability, reducing plant downtime through the identification and rectification of faults and understanding root causes.
RAJ MISRA, TECHNICAL AUTHORITY
Raj is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers with over 25 years’ experience in Upstream, Midstream and Downstream hydrocarbon facilities in consultancies and EPC organisations.
Raj has gained a wealth of expertise in the field of advanced transient surface production modelling as well as interfacing with asset engineers and providing valuable process operations support in order to maximise asset uptime.
In addition to a Bachelors in Chemical and Process Engineering, Raj is pursuing a MSc in Safety & Reliability Engineering at the University of Aberdeen.
