OPEX Group and Cognite form partnership to lead data-driven sustainability of operations in the energy industry
OPEX Group and Cognite, a global industrial software leader specializing in data liberation and contextualization, have signed an agreement to collaborate on driving cleaner and more reliable operations in the energy industry.
The partnership is built on the complementary combination of Cognite’s flagship industrial DataOps platform, Cognite Data Fusion®, and OPEX Group’s cloud-based intelligence solutions, emissions.AI and X-PAS.
The joint value proposition helps energy companies tackle their biggest and most urgent challenges, including complex asset monitoring, managing and reducing energy use and carbon emissions, while improving reliability.
Coginite Data Fusion will provide liberated and hyper-scalable contextualized data which will be leveraged by emissions.AI to employ machine learning and physics-based models to deliver actionable emissions intelligence. Industrial domain experts can then achieve operational improvements and minimize impact though a user-friendly interface.
OPEX Group CEO, Jamie Bennett, said;
“Cognite Data Fusion will help accelerate time-to-value and unlock additional insights available through our emissions.AI application. Together with Cognite, we provide our customers up-to-the-minute, comprehensive analysis of emissions intelligence at a granular level, based on data that the operational teams can trust.”
“This new partnership presents a strong opportunity to deliver additional value to existing and new customers by leveraging OPEX Group’s expertise in AI-based sustainability and reliability solutions,” said Dr. John Markus Lervik, CEO and co-founder of Cognite. “This partnership will help scale our efforts of bringing sustainability solutions to the global energy sector.”
