OPEX achieves Cyber Essentials accreditation
We are delighted to announce that as part of our Information Security strategy OPEX Group is now Cyber Essentials certified.
Cyber Essentials is part of the UK Government’s National Cyber Security Strategy. The scheme encourages businesses to develop robust digital protection to guard against the most common cyber threats, whilst demonstrating a clear commitment to cyber security.
Steve Woolham, OPEX Infrastructure Analyst, explains more about the accreditation; “We take our responsibilities regarding cyber security and data protection seriously. In order to obtain certification, the security controls we have in place at OPEX were independently assessed against the government’s five recognised levels of information security; boundary firewalls, secure configuration, patch management, malware protection and access management.
“By achieving the Cyber Essentials certification we can demonstrate that we have put measures in place to protect our own organisation and our customers and that we meet a Government-endorsed standard.”
