Trainee data scientist Nathan Fletcher plays a key role as part of our support team in our mission to help customers achieve their emissions reduction targets.
He combines his on-the-job training with studying for a degree at Robert Gordon University (RGU). Nathan works on a variety of projects including investigative work, coding, data mining and product deployment. He’s also about to embark of the second year of a BSc (Hons) in Data Science.
Nathan is passionate about the capabilities of AI across the oil, gas and energy sectors:
“It’s really exciting for me to be part of OPEX’s journey, and witness first-hand the positive effect that we can have - AI leverages valuable information that our customers can use to reduce their emissions, and so their impact on the environment.”
Complementing his knowledge and expertise in all things AI, is Nathan’s strong background in business. Having worked for several years for his family firm, Granite City Fish, Nathan is as comfortable on the fish floor as he is in our Digital Collaboration Centre, making him a real asset to the company. Not that he’s fishing for compliments!
When he’s not working hard at OPEX, or his studies, Nathan enjoys working out.
